Ferrosilicon is a ferroalloy—an alloy of iron and silicon—used mainly in steelmaking and foundries. A trade measure covering ferrosilicon may apply to specific products from particular countries, depending on the official product scope. The scope can distinguish products by composition, form, size, packaging, or other technical characteristics, so the product name alone is not enough.

“AD/CVD” means antidumping and countervailing duties. Antidumping (AD) measures address merchandise sold in the United States at less than normal value, while countervailing duty (CVD) measures address certain government subsidies benefiting foreign producers or exporters.
