For US customs, the country of origin is generally where the product was manufactured, produced, or grown—not the country it was shipped from. • Document the manufacturing steps, bills of materials, supplier origin statements, and production records supporting the origin conclusion.
• Check whether processing in Czechia substantially transforms materials from another country; simple packing, labeling, or minor assembly may not be enough.
• Use consistent origin information on commercial invoices, entry data, and marking records, and ask a customs broker or obtain a formal customs ruling when the analysis is uncertain.
